This half-day tour is a guided walk through Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, Zanzibar’s only national park, in search of the rare red colobus monkey — a species found nowhere else on earth. Raised boardwalks lead through mangrove swamp and indigenous forest, with your guide pointing out birdlife and forest plants along the way.
Park entrance fees and a local guide are included, along with hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere on the island.

Morning session: pickup 8:00–8:30 AM. Afternoon session: pickup 1:30–2:00 PM. Both return within approximately 3.5 hours.
Expect an easy, mostly flat walk along raised boardwalks and forest trails, with red colobus monkeys often visible within the first 20–30 minutes as they’re used to visitors. Your guide will also point out the park’s mangrove boardwalk and any birdlife spotted along the way.
This is a gentle, nature-focused half-day that works well for families and travellers who prefer an easy walking pace.
Your guide collects you from your hotel anywhere on the island for the drive to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park.
