Menai Bay’s conservation area protects some of Zanzibar’s healthiest coral, and this full-day boat safari visits several snorkelling spots across the bay rather than a single stop. Expect colourful reef fish, sea turtles on a good day, and calm, sheltered water that suits snorkellers of every level.

Expect several separate snorkelling stops across Menai Bay’s protected coral gardens, moving between sites by boat as your guide reads conditions on the day. The bay’s sheltered water keeps things calm even when the open coast is choppy, making this a good option for less confident swimmers as well as experienced snorkellers hoping to spot turtles.

Your driver collects you from your hotel anywhere on the island and transfers you to the harbour at Kizimkazi.
