Set sail on a catamaran along Zanzibar’s west coast, stopping to snorkel over coral gardens and to land on a shifting white sandbank that appears with the tide. It’s a sociable, sail-powered alternative to our motorboat excursions, with more deck space to relax between stops.
Snorkelling gear, a seafood lunch on the sandbank and soft drinks are all included, along with hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere on the island.
Hotel pickup anywhere in Zanzibar — Stone Town, Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje or elsewhere — included
Pickup between 8:00–8:30 AM, return to your hotel by approximately 5:00 PM
Expect a relaxed, sail-powered day with plenty of deck space to spread out between stops: a morning sail out along the coast, a snorkelling stop over coral gardens, and — tide permitting — time on a white sandbank for a seafood lunch and a swim in impossibly clear water. Because the sandbank depends on the tide, your guide will confirm the exact schedule the evening before.
This is a comfortable, sociable day suited to both first-time visitors and repeat guests looking for a change from motorboat excursions.
Your driver collects you from your hotel anywhere on the island and transfers you to the harbour at Fumba.
Board the catamaran and set sail along the coast toward the day’s first snorkelling stop.
Snorkel over coral reef with the gear provided on board.
Land on the sandbank (tide permitting) for a seafood lunch and time to swim in the shallows.
Sail back to Fumba and transfer back to your hotel.
