This half-day tour is a short, relaxed boat trip from Stone Town out to Prison Island (Changuu), best known today for its resident colony of giant Aldabra tortoises and its small, quiet beach. Originally built as a quarantine station, the island carries an interesting history alongside its wildlife.
Boat transfers and snorkelling gear are included, along with hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere on the island.

Morning session: pickup 8:30–9:00 AM. Afternoon session: pickup 1:00–1:30 PM. Both return within approximately 3 hours.
Expect a short, easy boat crossing to Prison Island, time to meet and photograph the resident giant Aldabra tortoises up close, a swim off the island’s small beach, and a bit of history from your guide about the island’s past as a quarantine station.
It’s a compact, low-effort outing that suits families and anyone short on time who still wants a proper Stone Town-area excursion.
Your guide collects you from your hotel anywhere on the island and transfers you to the harbour in Stone Town.
