Short on time but don’t want to miss Zanzibar? This fast-paced 3-day, 2-night weekend getaway packs in the island’s biggest highlights: a walking tour through Stone Town’s UNESCO-listed old town, a boat trip out to Prison Island and the Nakupenda Sandbank, and a final morning of beach time before you fly home.
It’s built for travellers who have a long weekend or a short layover and want a proper taste of the island without committing to a full week — airport transfers, accommodation and a guide are all included, so you can land, explore and unwind without any of the planning.

Pickup between 8:00–9:00 AM on Day 1 (exact time confirmed after booking)
This weekend is a sprint through the best of Zanzibar’s history and coastline: the coral-stone alleyways and carved doors of Stone Town on day one, then a full day on the water around Prison Island and the ever-shifting Nakupenda sandbank on day two, before one last relaxed morning on the beach.
It suits travellers connecting through Zanzibar, extending a business trip, or simply short on annual leave — everything is timed tightly around your flights so you don’t waste a single hour.
Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), where our driver-guide will meet you for a transfer to your hotel in Stone Town. After settling in, join a guided walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage old town — the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the narrow lanes lined with carved Zanzibari doors and the bustling old bazaar. As the afternoon cools down, head to Forodhani Gardens to watch the sunset and sample Zanzibari street food along the waterfront, followed by dinner in town. Overnight in Stone Town.
Take a short boat ride to Prison Island (Changuu) to meet its resident population of giant Aldabra tortoises, then continue by boat to the Nakupenda Sandbank, a strip of pure white sand that appears and disappears with the tide. Swim, snorkel, and enjoy a freshly grilled seafood lunch on the sand before heading back toward Stone Town on a scenic sunset dhow cruise. Overnight in Stone Town.
Enjoy a relaxed final morning — a last swim, a coffee by the water, or a stroll through Stone Town’s markets to pick up spices and souvenirs to take home. In the afternoon, your driver-guide transfers you back to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your 48 hours in Zanzibar to a close.
